Summary: The Continuous Improvement (CI) Technician conducts continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste through implementation of lean principles and standardized tools to support manufacturing and project teams. This position prepares for, leads, and executes continuous improvement projects. The CI Tech will also work with the maintenance team for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Safety - Responsible for helping maintain a safe and secure work environment through observation and elimination of potentially unsafe conditions and work practices. Knowledge of DuPont’s STOP program a plus.
Quantity - Ensures work group meets productivity standards by completing work in a timely manner

Education and/or Experience – High School diploma plus 2 or more years’ experience in continuous improvement/maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires in-depth understanding of a variety of manufacturing machines, environmental/safety, electrical and mechanical systems, phone and communications systems.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to lift parts, repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, moving equipment, and operating computer. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
