Directs, plans, organizes and controls the activities of personnel involved in the customer service, planning, purchasing, inventory management and shipping functions to assure these areas of responsibility support the Company’s overall growth and profitability objectives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with cross-functional team to design/develop/implement production planning, capacity planning and scheduling processes and standard operating procedures to improve visibility and drive execution.
Supervises planning/scheduling function, purchasing, inventory control and shipping at local site to ensure various departmental and facility objectives are met.
Establishes metrics and utilize various tools (e.g. Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Pareto charts, etc.) to continue improve departmental performance.
Designs, develops and implements supplier performance metrics and weekly/monthly business reviews with key suppliers.
Designs, develops and implements performance metrics for key customers and conduct weekly/monthly business reviews with key customers to review open orders, lead times, new products, and other initiatives.
Designs, develops and implements planning and scheduling methodologies to ensure facility On-Time Shipping goals and enable continuous improvement of machine utilization.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the planning/scheduling function, purchasing, inventory control and shipping department. The Supply Chain Manager will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, such as: interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Mathematical Skills – Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference

Computer Skills – Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Office Products and Outlook; ERP systems, Epicore experience a plus.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related.
At least 5 years experience in production planning, capacity planning, or S&OP. Management experience preferred. APICS certification preferred. Highly process driven. Past experience in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma preferred. Previous experience in Medical device industry or contract manufacturing preferred.
