Supervise employees in all assigned areas, which includes, but not limited to: providing work assignments, employee productivity, quality of work, enforcement of work/shop rules, and assisting in Employee evaluations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with scheduling and/or management and ensure timely product flow through production areas.
Maximize machine output according to the schedule while minimizing scrap.
Ensure all product being manufactured meet all quality requirements.
Carry out and implement all management directives.
Communicate expectations to production areas/employees and provide appropriate feedback on results.
Ensure a safe work environment.
Responsible for ensuring that employees are properly trained and developed.
Ensure that all procedures, SOP’s, Work Instructions, and/or Policies are communicated and enforced fully and consistently.
Communicate with other shifts.
Identify areas / issues impeding output/productivity/quality and communicate them to management.
Suggest solutions to issues and assist in implementing the chosen solution.
Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, detail oriented, good communication skills, drive to improve, hands-on management style (willing to get hands dirty). A minumum of two years experience in supervision in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience running CNC machines is desirable. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
